Star Birthday Card

Today I want to share a masculine version of the last card I posted.  It's nice to see how you can use a card you like and change up the colors and an image to make the card your own.

As you can see the same layout of the rectangles and 2 squares.  I changed the paper from the fun filled paper pack to the Nautical Adventure paper pack.  I used the media pattern to add texture to the background layer.  I added some twine and pierced stars in place of the butterfly.  I also took a star frame and used the Denim Days ink pad to change the color of the star.  I hope you try this with your creations.  Take a card you have made or this one and switch up the colors and images to make a card for you current needs.

Butterfly Birthday card

Today I want to share a card I made using our new fun filled prints paper pack.  I added a medium butterfly from the Artful butterfly die set.
I had fun using several of the silks to give a confetti look to my background layer.  I love the vibrant colors from the new paper pack in the Spring into Summer Mini Catalog.  I added some journey glaze and sparkle dust to the top layer of the butterfly and then some sparkle drops to the center.  I connected the butterfly layers in the center to give it some movement.  On the next blog post I will show you another version of the card with masculine colors and theme.

CI ATC trade

Today I want to show you the ATC I made for my April Earth Day (Earth, wind, fire, water) or Brown color.  I went with an earth theme.  Fresh grass, an umbrella for shade and a tall glass of lemonade.  What could be more relaxing then that image.
I used my cloud embossing folder for the background.  I then used my fringe shears to create some grass.  I then popped up an umbrella stamped on our new summer prints paper and a tall glass of lemonade.  I added some journey glaze and sparkle dust to help the lemonade look more refreshing.  I finished it off with a little thread, star button and a sparkle heart I then added a few splashes of cool pool silk.  I love relaxing in the summer, I just wish I had more time to do it.

Calendar class

Today I'm sharing the easel calendar inserts we will be making Tuesday.

For June were having fun with the Dapper Birthday stamp set.  I thought this would be a great set to use for the month that celebrates Fathers.

For July nothing celebrates Independence Day more the stars and fireworks.  We also had to do the good old red, white, and blue.

August is the summer party time.  Beach parties and surfing.  The Summer Party set is great to represent this fun time of year.

September celebrates Labor Day and we all know you have a backyard BBQ for the last holiday of the summer.

I just love using our small easel for a calendar each year.  It's so much fun creating a personalized calendar using my Fun Stampers Journey stamps and accessories.

April ATC trade

Today, I want to share an ATC I made for my April trade submission with a friends group.  She gives us a theme each month and we sign up so send in our version of that theme.  This month's theme was an open one with My Favorite Things.  Well, since I am a total beach bum at heart I had to go with that.

I used one of our stamp sets that is on the retirement list called Surf's Up.  I stamped the surf board and the flip flops on our new pattern paper from the Fun Filled Prints in the Spring into Summer Mini catalog.  I then added some of our sequins, journey thread and a gold heart to the ATC.

The last thing I added was some Journey Glaze to the surfboard and to the tops of the flip flops.  I also really love the saying, "Life is better in flip flops"
Enjoy and happy stamping.

April Planner

Today I want to show you how I decorated my April planner pages and dashboard.  I went with the standard April Showers Theme.

I stamped the umbrellas on out spring pattern paper pack and then added Journey Glaze and sparkle dust to them.  I did the same thing to the rain boots.

I stamped the clouds, umbrellas and raindrops around the background. I stamped them off so they will be a little lighter and will allow any of my note taking to be clearly read.  I hope your having fun with your planners.  Our new spring into summer mini catalog has some new fun dies to use with your planner and I can't wait for mine to get here.  You can find them on my Website.
