Today I want to share a card we will be making at the next FSJ card class at Creative Haven.  The fun starts with using the gel press and our True Fusion ink pads to make our background. I started with Lemon Drop then added some Orange Creamscicle and finished with Candy Apple.

I then a used the dandelion wishes stamp set to stamp on the background in Orange Creamscicle, Candy Apple and then Black Licorice. I added the sentiment and layered it on Candy Apple cardstock. Black licorice twine, pearls, rhinestones, and some sparkle silk finish off the card and are all popped on a Black Licorice card base. All of these products can be found on my website.

New website and Breakup Sale

Hi Everyone,
It's been a few days but I wanted to share that we have a new website.  You will see it has a new clean sleek look and feel.  There is a new Fun Stampers Journey Blog you can follow as well.  To view the new site go to

With the new website came our Break Up sale.
Check out the complete list here  My suggestion is to go through your list and mark your catalog with an R next to all the items retiring.  Then you can prioritize your shopping.  If you want to just jump in you can go right to the website and click shop once you get into the shopping section select breakup sale.  The retiring items are 30% off but are only available why supplies last so shop away.  You will also find some clearance items on sale of past retired items that will be 50% off these are also while supplies last.

If you would like to book a retirement party let me know.  We can create some great things with these sets before they are gone forever.

RG Presents recap

Saturday we had our 2nd RG Presents this one shared the new Project Me collection coming out in our new main catalog July 1st.  All my guests this weekend were able to get a sneak peak at the new collection coming out and a chance to purchase the items over a month early.  I started with making some fun goody boxes for all my guests.
These are our advent boxes.  I stamped on them with our picture perfect stamp set in Lemon Drop, Cool Pool, Sweet Berry, and Black Licorice inks.  I then added a strip of our new Project Me paper pack.

One of the papers has these Girls I cut out and popped up on the front of the box.

After I filled it up with candy I then stamped and die cut out one of the camera's and stapled a flag onto the back.  I then used a jumbo clothespin to hold the box closed and to hold the camera and flag onto the box.

We had a group of 8 people crafting and having a good time watching wonderful demos and learning new techniques with the new product coming.  We also had the opportunity to get to purchase some of the wonderful new products that were demonstrated during the event.  Here is a picture of some of the great things we received in our package.

Along with the wonderful demos we also got to do 4 projects with all the goodies that came in our kit. The first card we we got to use one of the new clips and some of our Confectionary Blooms.  We stamped the camera from the ATS Share Stories and the the little girl and the Love from the new stamp set Too Cute! I colored her with our Color Burst pencils and blended them with our blenders and baby oil.
The second card we used a die cut from the Film Capture Die and then stamped the girls and placed then into each section of the die

The third card we made we die cut with the Film Frame that came with our Project me kit.  I just love this die because it is 2 pieces so it can be cut as shown below with the center left solid or you have a rectangle piece that you can also die cut out to make just a film strip edged frame. We also added a little of our new black deco strips

The last card was created with a new background die with these fun classic camera images.  I just love this new stamp and can't wait for it to get here.  We then used our ink pads direct to paper to make the colorful background.  The mini polaroid is a piece of the new 12 x 12 Project me paper pack. We layered that on our circle film die and stamped the saying on the bottom.  I also colored this one with the color burst pencils and a blender with baby oil.

We had so much fun.  We gathered at my friends art studio Creative Haven in Chino.  We then had the show on the big screen and were able to craft at our tables.  We each had our own devices so we could engage in the chat during the show.  I provided lunch and snacks for everyone and we had fun during the make n take sessions making our projects together.  I would love to have you join me for the next one.  It will be on July 15th and we will be kicking off the new Journey Holiday mini catalog.  Early Bird Registration is $75.00 and will start May 22, 2017 and will go to June 19th. You won't want to miss this fun Christmas in July event.  More information will be coming soon. Let me know if you would like to join us for a fun day filled with crafting and be the first to get the new Holiday products.

BBQ Chalkboard technique

Hi everyone,
Today I want to share a card I made using our new BBQ stamp sets. I started by using various stamps on a large block to make the background. I used our clear pigment ink to stamp the images on black cardstock and then rubbed white pan pastels, from the party pop collection. The ink grabs the color really well. I then used a soft Kleenex to rub off the excess and it now looked like a chalkboard.
I then used our cranberry Bliss and new sparkle silks to add a little shimmer to the background. Our new backyard prints pattern paper had the fun paisley print so I added strip of that to the bottom and tied a piece of our black and white striped ribbon around the seam. I used our candy apple twine to make a triple bow and tie on the tag to finish off the card. These set are great to add some fun decorations to all your BBQ parties this summer.

Seas The Day

Today I want to share another fun card using our new snappy birthday stamp set. I'm really loving our beach and sea life collections in the current Spring into Summer mini catalog.
The crab was done using 2 colors of ink. I started with Orange Rave and then brushed the edges with Rich Coral. Next I used the matching die to cut him out. Then I worked on the base of my card by adding strips of our new Under the Sea paper pack and various silks. I also wanted sequins but I wanted a different color so I took out pink sequins and mixed them in a bag with a few drops of Rich coral ink. This toned down the pink and made them work more with the colors on my card. I finished the card off with some yellow ribbon and a circle of Orange Creamsicle to set off the crab. After the card was all together I added some journey glaze on the crab to make his shell nice and shiny.

Turtley Love

One of the sets I just couldn't wait to get my hands on when I saw the new mini was Turtlely Love. It was so cute and I wanted to create immediately with it.
The first thing I did was have fun with the splashes. I sprayed turbo teal, sour Lemon and Electric lime. I then used the heat gun to dry it and stamped my turtles with blue lagoon. I then used the matching die set to cut them out. Next I started working on my background. I sponged the colors on using our new daubers which I love by the way. Once I had that the color I wanted I stamped the seaweed randomly around the background to make my own pattern paper. I splattered with a little silver silk and assembled my card. I finished off my turtles with some Journey glaze and added s few spots of confetti. We will be making this card on Tuesday at This n That if you would like to join us. You can call the store to sign up at (909) 464-1108. Hope to see you there. Enjoy your day.

Slice of Life

Hi everyone,
Hope you had a fun weekend. Today I'm sharing a card I made with our slice of life collection.
This was fun to use a strip of the color washi tape on our printed cardstock. I tied a ribbon around that and layered it on sweet pear. I then popped a lemon on the top and added my sentiment on the front and inside. Our slice of life coll croon is one of our specials this month.
It's one of my favorites because it is fun and reminds me of summer. I especially love the slice of life confetti in the shape of little slices of fruit. They are great for shaker cards. You can find this and all the other specials on my website at

Planner event

Today I'm at The Who Gives A Scrap Plans too event in Ontario.  BloggerImage
Kim and I are sharing the Journey with a fun group of planners. I'm also helping people make a cute make n take for their planners.
Using our scallop pocket die and the poppy days stamp set we are making some fun planner clips. I also used our butterfly punch to make another clip to go along  with the spring theme. We have 40 guests at the event today so we have a display of all our fun products that can be incorporated into the planners and I have some planner clips I made to sell.
I had fun making some Easter egg clips, cupcakes and then some tacos and fries.
Since we have actually had rain this year I made some umbrella and rain boot clips.
Lastly I had to make some fun donut clips to share. I can't wait to share the Journey with everyone and have fun decorating our planners.

Easter lily

Watercolors are so much fun to do in the Spring.  I think it helps bring out the beautiful pastels of spring flowers.  For this card I made pallets of colors for the Lily.  I started with the lightest color and then heat set that layer.  Next you can come back with the next darkest color for the centers of the flowers.  Since the paper was dry when we applied the next color its easier to get the darkest part to stay in the center and pull out slightly.  I added color to the leaves and then heat set the paper again.  Once the flowers and leaves were all dry I was able to apply a plain water wash to the background and lay down some light blue for a soft background. With having the paper wet to start with the colors flow and blend nicely.
You should try this technique and see how you can get depth in all your watercolored images.  I finished the card off with our new Banana Stitch satin ribbon and a few rhinestones.  I added a little journey glaze to the stamens on each flower to give them a little depth.

Easter Lily Flowers

Today I want to share a card using our Color Burst Pencils.  This card used the color pencils directly to the paper and then pulled out the color with a waterbrush. Once I did the base color I was able to dry the paper and start my second layer.  Using a darker purple pencil I colored in the shadows that were part of the stamped image.  I used a waterbrush to blend those shadows to help add depth to the flowers.  I then took a yellow pencil and made a color pallet on a spare block.  I started by brushing plain water along the outside of the flower and then went back to lay down some yellow for a glowing background behind the flowers.  This allowed the color to be darkest next to the flower and then I could pull the color out until it blended into the white background.
I then layered the card onto Pretty Amethyst and Sweet Pear to help pop the colors.  I tied a purple ribbon around that layer and popped it on top of the card base of Pretty Amethyst and Whip Cream.

Today I am sharing another fun sample using our color splash pencils.  I used the Lovely Daisy ATS stamp and then added some leaves from our Peach Blossom stamp set.  To get the color to blend smoothly I spritzed the paper and started laying the color in the center of the flower so it would blend to the edges of each petal.  I then added a darker pink on each of the lines in the centers of each petal.  To get the leaves to blend I started with the color in the center of each leaf and then pulled the color to the edges.
I then used our Reverse Banner Die to make a pocket for the daisies.  I added some sparkle cuts to the centers of each flower and a little tag with the sentiment.  I just really liked the this combo with the pattern paper for the background.  If you would like to make this card lets book a make it party and this can be our project for your party.

March planner fun

Today I want to share my March planner pages. I decided to go with St. Patty's theme so I thought today would be the perfect day to share. Using my Pot O Gold stamp set I decorated my monthly and weekly spreads as well as make some fun planner clips.

This first picture is of my A5 planner. You can see I used light colors to add images that would fall to the background so I could still write my information down as the month goes along.
This picture is on my personal size planner and I followed the same philosophy to have a fine background but still be able to have a fully functional planner for the month.
No for my weekly I had fun with my Route 66 set b cause a I knew I would be traveling to the first RG hits the road downline meeting. I even made a special green Route 66 planner clip for my travels. Below you will see my weekly spread for the St. Patty's Week.
Here I added the due cuts for the treat boxes and my ATS stamp Lucky to mark St. Patty's Day.
Here is the dashboard for my Personal planner for March. I had fun adding the gold Stamping for a pop of color to contrast the various greens.
This is my A5 dashboard where I used my paisley ATS stamps and some of our pretty pattern papers. I again used our die and on the Sweet Pear cutouts I stenciled the Green on instead of layering them up for a different look. I then added a few rainbow drops to the centers of each of my clovers to the in the blue from the paper.
Lastly I want to share the fun planner clips I made. These came out so pretty. I stamped them all with the Pots of Gold bundle and colored them with our Color Burst pencils.
I'm really enjoying decorating my planner as I stay organized and on top of all my appointments and commitments. It's more fun and you don't tend to focus on just how busy you may be. Lol. Have a Happy St. Patrick's Day.

Easter blessings

Today we are having fun with our Color splash pencils and color splash paper.  First to make a background that will flow and blend so seemlessly you will want to spritz the paper on both sides.  This will help the colors run and keep the paper from curling too much while you work.  Next I made a little pallet with the colors I wanted with my waterbrushes and color splash pencils.  Using the large brush I applied each color to a section and because the paper was already wet the color just flows across the paper.  I then added the next color until I had the background blended the way I liked it.
Next I took my heat embossing tool to help speed up the drying process.  Once the paper is dry I stamped the Easter Blessings ATS using our Clear Embossing Ink pad and our Black embossing powder.  I then layered the the watercolor piece on Pretty Ameythyst and Deep Lilac cardstock.  I added a bow with Oatmeal Cookie Organza ribbon

Monday, March 13, 2017

Today I'm sharing a fun card using our new Eggmojis stamp set.  The faces can be mixed and matched in a variety of ways.  I combined the Eggmojis with the Egg Party stamp set.  I used the solid egg to stamp the Cool Pool, Pool Play and the Watermelon Fusion eggs.  You can then add the faces you choose and die cut each one out with the bloom benefit egg die.
To make the white background cutouts I used our Circle dies and staggered their placement.  I popped that up from the Pretty Amethyst card base.  On the bottom is used the shear scissors to make some grass.  I splashed some bubble gum and cool pool silks on the background and added 2 strips of our new sparkle tapes.  I then placed the eggs in each section with pop dots and added some journey glaze to the eyes and mouth to give them a little dimension. I really like how fun this card is.  It's always fun to make a card that will make someone smile. Happy Stamping.

Thursday, March 9, 2017

Today we have our beautiful cross stamp with matching die to showcase.  Our Color Cross stamp is so versatile, you can color it, emboss, and it would be gorgeous with the pan pastels.  I started with building my background using the Postage Stamp ATS, and the Thread sketch on the banana cream strip.
I embossed the cross on the sweet pear paper with the white embossing powder and a rhinestone in the center.  I added a bow with our new pink checkered ribbon and a few pearls to finish it off.

Egg basket

Today I want to share a fun card using our basket die and our new egg stamps with matching die.  I started with using our steel rule basket die.  I used one of the sides to make a basket on my card front.  I used pop dots to fill my basket with eggs.  Each egg was embossed with our white embossing powder and then die cut with our egg die from our Bloom benefits selection.  I then used our shear scissors to make some grass for my basket.
As you can see my basket has a striped layer on top.  This is using our accessory die that coordinates with our basket die.  You can do a solid stripe or a curved stripe layer on your basket.  I used some of our Easter Printed paper pad to dress up the background.  You can book a Make It party and we can make this card as well as review lots of other fun products from the catalog.

Distress Ink emboss resist cards

Today I want to share the cards we will be making March 14th at This N That Scrapbooking in Chino Hills.  For all 3 cards we are doing embossed resist backgrounds.  To do this I stamped my background and embossed with white embossing powder.  The next thing you do is take your 3 colors starting with the lightest color to sponge the background.  I started from the bottom and kept building the layers going to the top.  Once I have good coverage I then start with my next darkest color to sponge the color from the bottom to about 2/3 of the way up.  The last color blend into the bottom third of the card.  We have a blue, yellow, and pink card.

The Blue card was stamped with the Paisley Print ATS stamp and embossed with white embossing powder.
The Pink card was done using the Amazing Hearts background stamp.
The final card was stamped using the Amazing stars background stamp.  All three cards were sponged using the circle sponge daubers to help the colors blend smoothly into each other.  If you would like to sign up for the card class you can call the store at 909-464-1108. The class is March 14th at 5:30 pm and is $25.00.  You bring a basic supply kit with scissors, adhesives, and pop dots and I will provide the rest.  I hope you can make it.  Happy Stamping
