Winter ATC trade

Here is my swap for the December ATC group I have been trading with.
This months theme was Winter. Since I'm trading with people from all over the United States I thought it would be fun to do something a little different. I wanted to make a card with a California Winter scene.
I love the Beach so I grabbed my Nautical stamp set and made a night beach scene. I sponged the sand with Oatmeal Cookie, Hazelnut Blend and Dark Roast. The night sky I used Beach Breeze, Beach Ball, Catalina Splash, and Denim Days. I stamped the seagul in Dark Roast and added a couple of our blue sequins with some of our Journey Twine to finish it off. Any of these things can be purchased at my Fun Stampers Journey store. You will find the link on my blog home page.

Festive Patterns Wreath

I can't believe how fast time is passing by.  Today I wanted to share with you a Christmas Wreath I made last month at the Carson Rubber Stamp Show.  With our special still going on you can get the supplies to make this beautiful wreath as well.  For every $50.00 you spend currently you can receive a package of our Festive Patterns paper.

I really like the patterns in this pack.  It comes with 6 double sided pattern designs so you get 4 sheets of each design for a total of 24 sheets. Here are what the patterns look like.

With this package of paper you can make 2 wreaths.  Now keep in mind this is a Christmas wreath but you can make it with any of our pattern packs for what ever theme you need at the time.  Along with the pattern pack of paper I used some tulle and our Green Olive and Buttercream cardstock, Gold Silks, and stamped the image with our Merry Swirl ATS in Green Olive Ink. To finish it off I used my journey glaze with water in a spray bottle and sprinkled with Sparkle Dust.  If you are interested in making one please let me know and I would love to show you.

I hope you are having a fun time creating great gifts and cards for all your friends and family. Enjoy

Ornament ATC Trade

Today I want to share my completed trade for an ATC group I have been trading with. My friend Kristy who lives in Florida had invited me to join in on an ATC trade she holds once a month. I have participated for the last 3 months and have had so much fun. this month we were to use an Ornament image to make our trades. I used our stamp set ornament party from the mini catalog.
I just love the little ornament stamp and thought it was a good size for an ATC card. ATC's are 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches and I store them in baseball card sleeves. I stamped them in Denim Days, Huckleberry Fusion, and Catalina Splash. I added our sparkle dust, some twine and Journey Sequins Holiday Elements. I hope you enjoy.

Christmas Gift tags

I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner. My class next Tuesday at This N That Scrapbooking is for gift tags for all those special gifts you will be shopping for soon.  Using our Fun Stampers Journey products you will create the 6 tags.  I used the Journey Blooms Holiday dies and the Snapshot Dies along with the Festive Patterns paper pack.  You can earn a free Festive Patterns Paper Pack with a $50.00 order. Let me know if you want to find out more about earning this paper pack for free.
The Following tag shows how you can use our Journey Glaze and Sparkle Dust to make your own Icicles.  I also added some our our Journey Sequins Holiday Elements to dress this tag up a little.
For the O in Joy I added one of our Round Silver Buttons to Jazz it up a little.  Who doesn't like a little Bling here and there?
For the center of the flowers I added a Rhinestone to the centers with the Journey Glaze and Sparkle Dust.  I also used the piercing elements from the circle dies to create some texture for the background.
For the Trees I did second and third generation stamping to have the different shades of the trees. I also added some color to the nose on the Reindeer to make him Rudolph. I hope you can come to the class to make these tags with us.  Happy Stamping,  Nikki

Scrapbook expo

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to help in some of the classes with Richard and Rose. I had so much fun and was able to make the projects for the Fun Stampers Journey class. The first project is using 2 of my new favorite dies, the bow die and the treat box die. This box will hold atc size cards.
The next project used the scallop pocket tag die. It's always fun to see how to make something different then the normal item with a die.
The last project is a card using the snapshot die set. I love the look of an old Polaroid picture.
Lastly I was able to sneak away and head over to the booth and do the make n take. I will definitely be making some of these as my Christmas cards this year.
As you know all of the items need to make any of gear projects can be found at
You can also contact me and let me know you would like to have a party with your friends and make these projects. Have a great day and Happy Stampin

Water Coloring with Distress Inks

I have been playing with my different distress inks. I stamped some of my favorite Art Impression girls on Watercolor paper and used my distress inks to watercolor them.
This fun card I used some stains, ink pads and markers. I really like the effect it gives to these images. Because they are more open they are great for this technique.
I used the fine point on the marker to draw in boards like a hardwood floor.
I really liked that they can be colored in pretty fast because you have to let go when water coloring. Sometimes the colors will blend together and that's okay. We will be making all 3 on November 11th at This n That. You will need your basic supply kit plus a craft mat and watercolor brushes. We have all these colors and tools at the store. Hope to see you there.

Quick cards

Today I want to share my next class at This N That in Chino Hills. We will be making 6 quick cards for Christmas. By using some pattern paper and dressing it up with a few embellishments you have nice cards that are easy to make many duplicates quickly.
I am using our festive patterns paper and our new journey blooms holiday die set.
I used the new set from our mini catalog called Ornament Party for this card.
For the Mistletoe I sponges some whip cream to make it look like snow dust.
For these cards I also used the whip cream pad to make the snowflakes pop. The Holly was cut, embossed, and stenciled. I hope you can make it to my class next Tuesday. You can find the items to make these cards at my shop
Happy Stampin

Day of the Dead

Today I had s class using our new Day of the Dead stamp set from our Holiday Mini  Catalog. I used my color pencils on the card and treat holder. It's so much fun to color things in with different mediums. For this first sample I used the scallop pocket tag die to make it.
On the candles I used only one blue pencil but by applying multiple layers and adding pressure I got a nice graduated color on them.  For the flames I blended red into orange and then into yellow.
I loved how my shading came out on my roses and I really loved the red to orange to yellow blend at the bottom of the skull.
For the treat box I used daubers to color in the candles and added silver silks to the entire project. I also used a white glaze pen to color in the bones and add dots around the coffin. The treat box is made from a die as well. It will also hold ATC size cards if you wanted to give s little gift. I used the snapshot frames die set on the card and for the bat on the treat box. The clouds were also a die. All of these things can be purchased at my fun stampers journey store. The link is on the homepage of my blog. We also have a special going on right now for every $50.00 you spend you will get the Zombie Nights paper pack for free. Let me know if there is anything you would like to make your Halloween treats stand out. Happy stamping

Halloween ATC Trade

Today I wanted to share a trade I made using the new stamp set Day of the Dead.
I have so many ideas for this set so when I saw the opportunity to enter a trade using it I was excited. I got out my Copic markers and started coloring.
I finished it off with some journey glaze and sparkle dust. I used the zombie nights pattern papers for the black and grey flag. I also used our new circle die that will cut and pierce at the same time. I added a little bow with some of our new ribbon to finish it off. Let me know if there is anything here you would like to make or purchase for your own Halloween treats.
Happy Stamping.

Halloween Treat Bag

Today I wanted to share a Halloween treat bag I made. I colored the Lala Land Flying Witch Marci. The bag I learned how to make in a class from Mindy Baxter. I thought it was so cute I have made it a dozen times at least. I thought it would be the perfect trick or treat bag. I used my Copics to color it and some stickles for the dust flying off the broom. I hope you all enjoy.

And if that wasn't enough over the next 3 days I won the top 2 stamp sets and some ribbon that I don't have in the picture.  The bottom stamp set and die were given to all of us in attendance.

The Be Brave stamp set is special because it is in honor of Richard's cousin Sandra who lost her battle in June of this year.  $2.00 from every Be Brave stamp set sold will be donated to Breast Cancer Angels.  To learn more about their organization you can go to
The last item in the picture is our new Bow Die.  I can't wait to show you all the things we can make with this.  Let me know if you would like to schedule a party and start playing with some of these new items.
Here is a picture of our new catalog.  Let me know if you want one.  I will be ordering  a couple of boxes so I will let everyone know as soon as I have them available to hand out.  In the mean time we will just have to get together and share the one I have.  The next picture is our Holiday Mini.  This is packed full of fun images for the holiday's.  My next class at This N That will be using the new Zombie set.

Well I wanted to share one last picture which is a group shot of all us Bliss Roadies that were able to attend the Event.  It was so much fun to see all of us together and here's hoping more can come to Convention June 4-6, 2015 in Phoenix.
