Ho Ho Ho

I was having more fun with my lockets. Here is another sample of my large locket.
This one I did in some non traditional colors. This next one I had fun with my small locket. I added some of the sparkle cuts so it looks like snow inside.
Now I want to share a collage of the various plates you can add to the lockets. First up are the small lockets with the various plates.
The last picture is of the large locket.
I'm really loving these and the inserts are so pretty. Adding the sparkle hoop to the top is making it much easier to swap out the locket and change how I want it decorated. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas.

Christmas House

Today I want to share a project I designed for our 1st Bliss Roadies Christmas retreat.  I wanted to make something fun and festive so I decided to make a single Christmas house with a tree.  Once we put them all together we would have a village.
I started our with a house made from Rock Candy paper and a Denim Days roof and door.  I added vellum inside to cover the windows and then covered the roof.  To have the illusion of snow I layered modeling paste on the top and then sprinkled confetti and sparkle cuts.

Next I added some tinsel twine to the edge of the roof to appear like lights around the house.  I added a wreath to the door with red confetti as holly berries. Using the stamp set Banner Wishes I stamped Deck the Halls for a banner at the house peak. I used a mini brad as the doorknob and added a flameless tealight to light up the house.  To finish it off I place the house on a round mirror and added a tree for background.

Once everyone finished their houses we put them all together to make a Bliss Roadies Village around Lake Havasu. Rose made this beautiful collage of all the houses together.  What do you think?  There are lots more options if you want to make your own village. You will notice some of the trees are a different color.  You can used our Journey Splashes to color the trees and then tap them with modeling paste to give the illusion of snow.

Christmas locket

Today I want to share another twist with our journey girl locket collection. I have used out 1 1/4 circle punch to make a background for our large locket. It make ms it so easy to have fun with all those scraps of pattern paper you have. Today is used the black and white paper line with some sequins. Our special celebration and holiday elements are great for the lockets.
I really love the pop of red. I also included a picture of my cactus ornament I received from Richard during the last day of our leadership retreat. You still have time to order these for gifts. I have a few people on my list that are going to be very happy.

Chubby Stocking Garland

I was having fun over the Thanksgiving holiday and made this fun Garland for my desk at work. I used the Chubby stocking die set to make a cute embossed stocking.  This die set is great because it comes with the solid shape dies and 2 texture plates.  You can cut a stocking and leave it plain or emboss it to add the texture to each part.

Next I needed to punch a hole in each of my stockings to string them along on a ribbon. To do this I used our punch tool and mini mat. The punch tool is great because it comes with 3 tips and has storage at the base of the handle for the tips not being used.  I switched to the larges size because I knew I wanted to use my Lemon Grass Ribbon which is a wider ribbon.

I added a double bow and 3 bells to each end to add a finishing touch to my garland.

Here is the finished Garland hung up on my desk.

Cookie exchange

On Saturday I was able to participate in my first cookie exchange.  I tried a new recipe and it came out really good.  I made chocolate rolo cookies.  I then used the Advent boxes to package my goodies for each person.  I stamped the boxes with the Thread Sketch background stamp in Oatmeal Cookie ink and the Flower Layers stamp in Pomegranate Splash.

I cut a doily and layered the bread tag on top with the Flower Layers die cut out of Pomegranate Splash cardstock. The tag is cut from Oatmeal Cookie and the sponged with Pomegranate Splash ink. I used the big ball stylus on my bloom tool to add dimension to the flower and layered them all on top of each other. I then die cut the leaves and used the medium ball stylus to add veins to the leaves. I added a sparkle drop to the center and layered that on top of a couple of gold elements and the leaves to finish off the tag.

I then sponged the clothespins with pomegranate splash ink and then attached a Lemon Grass bow to the top.

I then placed my cookies into the box and closed the box up with the clothespin and added the tag to the front.

I really like how they turned out.  These boxes are so great I really think I will be using them alot.  They are just the right size for a little gift and can be decorated for the right occasion.

Watercolor Christmas

Today I want to show you the last card we will make in our Distress Ink class on December 8th at This N That Scrapbooking.  We are going to use a new series of stamps from Art Impressions to make watercolor scenes.  You take individual stamps and with a waterbased ink you stamp and make a watercolor scene.  We will make a Winter scene for the holidays with some snow covered Pine Trees and a bird.
We are using 2 different sizes of the snow covered pine trees.  The larger one goes in front with the smaller tree stamped twice in the background.  I added the red bird flying above the front tree to add some additional color to the image.  Using some confetti I make it appear as snowfalling.  I used some sparkle cuts for the snow on the trees. I added a single rhinestone to represent a shining star.  I hope you can join us for my last class of the year.  You can call the store to sign up at (909) 464-1108

Holiday Cheer

Today I wanted to share two of the cards we will be making on Tuesday the 8th at This N That is Chino Hills.  We will be having fun with our distress markers and our Art Impression stamps again.

I used the distress ink pads and markers to watercolor this image.  I just love the fun ladies from Art Impressions so we are going to have fun coloring this cheerful Christmas image.  We will also color an image for all the Ugly Christmas Sweater parties you could be invited to.
I had fun using the pocket die to make this card with another Art Impressions girl.  I popped her on the front with a wobble so she can dance around for some added fun.  I used modeling paste for the fur on her Santa Hat to add some added dimension.  You can write a fun note to a friend on the card in the middle pocket and add some candy canes in the back pocket.  I finished off the ribbon on the side with a couple of jingle bells to add to the festivities.  In a couple of days I will show you our last project.  We will still be using Art Impressions stamps but we will be using their watercolor stamping line.  I hope you can join us on December 8th to make these cards.  You can sign up by calling (909) 464-1108.

Doily fun

Today I want to share with you some fun with the Doily die.
Our doily is so beautiful as is but I wanted to alter it for some winter snowflakes. By taking my detail pro shears to it I was able to create 5 different snowflakes.
The first snowflake is the doily die left alone. The one below that has just a small section cut away. As you can see by cutting away different sections you can achieve very different snowflakes. I always love taking my dies and looking at them with fresh eyes. If you think outside the box you can come up with some great ideas. I hope you have fun creating some great decorations for the holidays. Don't forget you can stop by my online store to pick up the doily die to make your own snowflakes.

I used the fall paper pad, bezel block ATS stamp and the give thanks stamp to decorate. I also included my 2015 charm. Well I'm off to enjoy our family Olympic Games and a great dinner later. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and have fun creating.

October KOTM

Today I want to show you the cards I made from Octobers kit of the month. It was a masculine set that made some fun cards. It's funny how we alway struggle to make masculine cards. Sometimes the ideas just done come to all of us.
You can see that I colored the stripes of the barber pole with our fusion blender and the inks for our ink pad.
You can see a closer picture of the barber pole signthat I colored. So as you can see, take your time and build up your color until they are the right shades you are looking for.

Blitzen & Mistletoe

Two fun parts of Christmas are Reindeers and Mistletoe.  Today I'm sharing the last 2 cards we will be making on Tuesday at This N That in Chino Hills.  First up is a card I made using our Brushstroke stamp set and an ATC stamp Mistletoe Kiss.  This is a great card that you can make multiple of quickly and send out to all your friends and family.
The mistletoe I stamped and fussy cut to get the berries and leaves the proper colors.  I then popped them up and added some journey glaze and sparkle dust.  I finished off the card with some Holiday sequins and a few rhinestones.
The final card shows how we can use the dies to make a window on our cards to add some depth for this winter scene.  I then added some red twine to make the scarf on Blitzen and popped it up on the card front.  I added some gold silk and a wood star element from our Bloom Benefits to add the final touches.  I hope you can join us to get started on your Christmas Cards. Happy Stamping

Ugly Sweater & Jolly Friends

Today I wanted to show 2 cards we will be making on Tuesday.  First up is ugly sweater time.
This stamp set is so versatile because you can use the sweater stamp all year and put anything on it. For this card I stamped it on pattern paper and then added a tree on the top with tinsel added to put it over the top.   The stamp set comes with lots of options to use to decorate your sweater but you can see that it is something that can be used at anytime.

Next we are having fun with our Jolly Friends.
This fun card is making use of more of our pattern paper.  This month we have a special going on with the pattern paper 6 x 6 pads.  With a $100.00 order you will receive all 3 6 x 6 pattern paper pads.  I also used our holiday ribbon and the snow flakes from the Holiday sequins.

We will make 2 more cards I will share next time.  I hope you can join me on Tuesday to take this class.  To sign up call This N That at (909) 464-1108.  You can also get your orders in for your Christmas card supplies to make many more of these to send out to all your friends. All the supplies can be found at

Journey media

Today I spent the day with a friend playing with our Journey Media line. We worked on a page in an art journal. I had fun with our sprays and modeling paste.

I stamped a butterfly into some paper clay and painted it in with Lemon Grass ink. I glued a bunch of leaves down that I fussy cut to fill in my tree. It's still a work in progress but I think I need to let it sit and figure out what saying I want to add. If you have any sayings for me let me know in the comments. I would love to hear your suggestions.

Bloom Girl Journal

I had so much fun coloring this Bloom Girl. She's one of the smaller girls but I liked putting her on a journal. I think the Journal gives it a chance to be showcased. I loved the punched border with the pearl accents. I sponged the edges and added a strip of washi tape to help finish it off. The words I double stamped, once in Rasberry Berry and again in the Black. I enjoy creating the shadow effect for my words.

We will be coloring this on Saturday and I can't wait to see how everyone's turns out.

Trick or treat

Making tags for treat bags.
I had fun coloring my Lil Monster stamp and then using my due to cut him out. I colored 12 different monsters so each bag is different.  I then used my tag die to cut out tags and added washi tape to match each monster. As a final touch I used a wobble to attach the monster to the tag.
The kids are going to have fun with the wiggle monsters as they eat their candy. Have a Happy Halloween.

Happy Halloween

Here are some fun cards I colored with my copics. The stamps are Simply B Stamps. They are so cute. I used the same color scheme for all 3 cards including using one of the fluorescent markers. I love how it added to the sparks from the wand as well as in dragon.

Journey Media classes

This is the last few days to purchase the Journey Media classes. They were a blast and you can learn to make some great projects. Here are the pictures of my cards from the first class.
These cards showed how to use multiple techniques that you can incorporate into many other projects.   There was also a second and third class to show you how to make a home decor project and an art journal. You can work at your own pace and make the projects into different color schemes like I did here on my home decor project.
You can find the classes on my website at
Click on shop and select journey media bundles to see everything available. I can't wait to make more of these home decor projects for various holidays. I have learned a lot of techniques and have had fun incorporating them into many other projects.

Copic fun

Here are some fun cards I colored for my beginning copic class earlier this month. Flowers are so much fun to color because you can use anything you have.
It was so much fun watching everyone learn how to use the copics and improve right before your eyes. Next month we will be coloring fall and holiday images. As soon as I make the cards I will share. I'm going to be creating at the scrapbook expo this weekend so I should have a tone of new cards to share. Enjoy and happy stamping.

Happy Halloween

Today I wanted to share a fun project I made with my Journey media items.  I had fun with my sprays and stencils creating the background for my ATC trade.  I then stamped my tree in Black Licorice and my bats.  On a separate piece of paper I stamped a bat and cat and then fussy cut them out so I could pop them up on the ATC.  I added journey glaze on the tree, bats and the cat.  A little sparkle dust added some bling to the background.  I also curled the banner to give the effect of a wave.  Don't forget the Fall Fest sale is going on and all the fall holiday stamps are 20% off this month.  Its a great time to stock up on all those Halloween and Thankgiving stamps you really want to make all your treats and decorations.  If you find anything you want let me know I will get that ordered right away.
Happy Stamping.
