Queen of Hearts

Today's card I want to share I colored using my copic markers.  It's a fun LaLa Land stamp called Queen of Hearts Marci.  I thought she came out really pretty.
I found some paper that just matched the colors perfectly so I layered one in the background and made 2 little side tags from 2 more papers from the collection. Using my Cricut I cut out a scepter for the Queen using some glitter paper and gold. I added a red heart doily in the background and some black lace ribbon to finish the card off. I hope you enjoy my little Queen, she was fun to color.  Happy Stampin.

Fun Stampers Class for February

Here are the 4 cards we will be making Tuesday February 17th. The first card is using an ATS stamp Mr Fix It and the Chevron Background stamp.  I used the Denim days ink and I think it really goes will with the River Stone Paper. I love the snapshot frame die.  Its just fun to frame an image like an old polaroid picture. I finished it off with some bakers twine and one of our metal buttons.
This second card is also using an ATS stamp Come Fly along with our cloud dies.  I used the same color scheme as above but had the River Stone be more prominent. I sponged the bottom edges of the clouds to add a little depth and then added journey glaze to the plane.  I like that the plane if flying off into the sky sharing the Happy Birthday banner.

The next card I want to share is with the Special Lady stamp set.  I love the various Lady Bugs in this set.  I added some of our pattern paper to peek through the circles I die cut out of the top layer. I added some of our sparkle drops and a jumbo wood clothespin to hold the tag.

The final project I learned how to make from Richard Garay's Make Live Share video.  It was just too cute and I had to remake one for my next class.  I added some pearls to the antenna of the lady bugs.  I cut out 2 hearts for the tag on the bag.  I am going to add some candy to the bag and then I can share with a friend.

I hope you can join us in class to make all these projects.

Saxaphone Luka

Today I want to share 2 cards I made using LaLa Lands Saxaphone Luka stamp.  I colored the same image but using 2 different skin tone combinations.  I like how you can mixup the color combos on the same image and still get great results.  For the first card I used a lighter skin combo with a sandy blonde hair.

The second card I used a darker skin tone with brown hair. Both used the same colors for the rest of the image.  I also used my new Cricut Explore for the sentiment.  I just thought it was too perfect for the little sax player.  I love to listen to music and I really believe it soothes the soul.

I hope you enjoy these cards and get your copics or whatever coloring tools you prefer and go color.

Happy Stamping

January KOTM

January is almost over but you still have time to get the current Kit of the Month from Fun Stampers Journey.  This months kit is fun and great to make cards for encouragement, or just because.

The stamp set also coordinates with our star die so you won't have to fussy cut out the stars.  In each Kit of the Month you will get a stamp set, 4 projects all cut out and ready to make, and PDF's with instructions on how to make each card.  These are great if you would like to recreate the cards at a later date.  You just supply the ink and adhesives to finish the cards. Each month they release a supply list that will let you know what colors they will be using if you don't have them and would like to purchase the colors used.  My friends and I like to get together and make our cards each month. This is great because we can share our inks if by chance someone doesn't have all the colors used. If you sign up now you can still receive this months kit and you can join us each month to make our cards.  The kit of the month is $24.95 and is a six month committment.  I have had so much fun with these and would love to share them with you.  You can sign up on my website at

Valentines theme class

Today I am sharing the cards we will be making this coming Tuesday January 20th at This N That in Chino Hills.  We are making cards with a Valentine's theme.
The first card is using the several dies and stamps along with some Candy Apple confetti sparkle and silver silks to finish it off.

The second card used Sweet you stamp set and I colored it with pan pastels.

My third card I used a background and ATS stamp to complete.  Adding layers makes this simple card stand out.

For my final card I used some our pattern papers and our satin ribbon. All of the stamps, dies and accessories needed to make these cards can be purchased from my Fun Stampers Journey store.  Please see the link on my blogs homepage or feel free to contact me at

I hope you can join us Tuesday to make these cards.  To find out what you need to bring and to sign up you can call the store at 909-464-1108.  Happy Stamping.

January New Year's ATC Trade

This month's ATC trade theme was New Year.  We were to make an ATC that would represent that theme however we wanted to interpret it.  I always think of toasting in the new year and with friends and then setting some goals for the new year.  For my trade I made the following card.

I embossed the chandelier and splashed the background with all 3 silks we carry, silver, gold and bronze.  I also added a couple of sequins and pearls to act as bubbles from the champagne glasses.  On the inside I listed my goals/resolutions.  As you can see I plan to post at least once a week to my blog.  I may be a week late but I am really going to stick to it.  I was able to craft a lot during my holiday vacation so I have several projects already completed and ready to share.    I already started item 4 by prepping a weekly planner that I will be doing some journaling in all year long and hope to share periodically throughout the year.  I'm really excited about learning something new.  This will also lead into item 5 because this is all new to me.  Number 3 is where you all come in.  I want to book more parties to share my Journey with everyone.  So if you want to have a good time with friends making some cards  or fun paper projects let me know and we will get that set up right away.  This trade is for a group that I joined late last year and have been having a great time sharing with friends from all over the country.  I can't wait to keep this going.  Keep checking back and see what I have been up to.  Happy Stamping.

Distress Inks class

I had fun playing with my distress inks over the holidays and have made the following cards for a class next week.  The first 2 cards I used my stains to create watercolored backgrounds and then stamped my images on top.

I love how the stains can add color and then blend into each other and seemlessly change to the next color. I stamped over the colored backgrounds with my Fun Stampers Journey images.  This technique is really great for solid images that can stand out on the background.

The last 2 cards are coloring in some art impression images.  I just love this dancer and the funny saying for the inside.

For this card I used my distress markers to color her in.  I did use my stains for the background and then distressed the edges with the distress ink pads.  The next card used the same techniques but just added one more.

The raindrops are made using a stencil and modeling paste.  I really wanted the additional texture to get the full effect of the rain.  We will be making all 4 of these cards on Tuesday if you would like to join us.  Just call This N That Scrapbooking at 909-464-1108 to register.  You can also see the supply list for the class here.Distress inks class
I hope to see you there.
