Watercoloring with distress inks.

Here are the next cards we will be making Tuesday March 10th at This N That in Chino Hills.  The first card is using the stamp Aunt Lovelle on the Couch.  These ladies always make me laugh.  you can put any saying with them and they work.
The next card is with a girlfriends stamp, Comfy on Couch.  I always think of my friends when I use these stamps.  I know we will always be just acting like a bunch of goofs forever.
The last card I used the Shake Your Booty stamp.  I think this is my favorite of all of them.  On the outside you have your normal image but when you open your card you will see the rest of the image and it wobbles.  These are always great for a laugh.

I hope you can join us for this class.  Just call the store at (909) 464-1108.  Happy Stamping.

Founding coaches

This is your last chance to become a founding coach with Fun Stampers Journey. We are rapidly reaching the 500 mark and only the first 500 get in at the $150 price and get a pin stating you are a Founding Coach. It's a great opportunity to be on the ground floor of this new stamp company. You can find more information on my website.
I would love to have you on my team and look at all this stuff you get in your starter kit.

ATC trades

I went to my second ATC trade at Custom Impressions this Sunday.  I had a really good time and enjoyed making my ATC's for the Trade.  I had 2 versions I made trying to decide which to go with.  The theme was Kisses so I used my Lucky Kiss stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey for my saying.  I embossed it in Gold and added some Lip Confetti I had.  I cut a mini viewmaster disc I have had for a while.
I added some pattern paper and ribbon to my Pomegrante paper.  I thought the roses in the pattern paper went really well this this cardstock.  I popped this all up on a Butter Cream Hug base.  Once I had it all together I splashed some gold silks as a finishing touch.

I has some extra pieces left over so I decided to make another one.  My second card I also used a left over Heart and Crown I had from an earlier trade I made.
You can see I still used the viewmaster disc.  I just cut it into pieces and placed it around my card.  I then used a tag from my original idea and then added my crowned heart with a hat pin and some rhinestones.  I again splashed with gold silks once I had it all together.  The crown is from the ATC Crown Me and the Heart is from our Heart Die set.
I really like how they both turned out.  It's always fun to try and make a card so small.  You can find most of what I used at my online store or you can contact me if you would like to book a party and create some fun things with your friends and family.

Hummingbird's Song

Tonight I made a card for a Fun Stampers Journey challenge I was invited to participate in.  This was a color challenge using Lemon Grass, Lemon Drop, Huckleberry Fusion and Oatmeal Cookie colors. This First Challenge is #FSJCC1  and is hosted by Kerry Urbatch at
You can see from the picture some of the products I used to make this card.  Not included in the picture are the cardstocks or background stamps I used.

I love coloring with anythings so this time I used my Prisma Colored Pencils. I colored the Hummingbird and popped it on the card using my blending pencil to blend the colors into each other smoothly.
I had fun taking part in this color challenge.  If you ever get a chance try one out.  They really help you get creative and try some new things.  You can find any of the inks, paper, dies and stamps used to make this card on my page

Steampunk Cycle Marci

Today I want to share 2 versions of a card I colored with my Copics.  I used the Steampunk Cycle Marci from LaLa Land.  I tried to make the cycle look very old like a tarnished gold.  I have so much fun coloring these images.  We will be making this card at This N That on March 4th.  You can sign up at the store or call (909) 464-1108.
On the first picture you will notice I used my exacto knife and cut completely around the image.  I then popped it up on the card to make it appear to be in mid flight.
I really liked the turquoise and greens together.  The second image I left the image flat with the white background and layered it the same as above.

I hope you enjoy and can join us in class on march 4th to make your own card.  Thanks and happy stamping.  Nikki

Artist Trading Card

Today I'm sharing a card I made for a friends ATC swap. The theme was Crown Me. I also chose to use my FUN Stampers Journey black and white paper pack. This month you get a free package for every $50.00 you spend.
I love the pop of color the heart gave my card. I added some rhinestones to finish off the crown and a little tag. If you want to get your hands on this great paper pack head on over to my website Enjoy.

Birthday Girls

Today I'm sharing some fun little girl stamps. They are fun to color with pencils, markers,or watercolors. I used my prisma colored pencils for these images. They were originally a kit of the month set but are available for purchase now. These cards also show off some of our pattern papers and dies. I love that some of our dies come with the piercing elements. I love the effect and that I don't have to punch all those holes myself is wonderful.
This card also has some of our sequins as a little extra element.
For this card you might notice the patterned skirt. The stamp set comes with 2 patterns for this image. You can leave it plain or add the checkerboard pattern above or the polka dots below.
You will notice this card also used one of our paper clip elements. They are fun additions.
Enjoy and let me know if you would like to have a party making these or any other cards.
