Feathers and Thank you cards

Today I want to share 2 cards we will be making in Tuesday. The first card is us by one of our steel rule dies to cut out the feathers. I then added texture to them with the Journey Glaze and sparkle cuts glitter.
I added some twine and sequin ribbon to the top. I then added a few splatters of silk to fill in a little of the background.
The second card is using one of our bloom benefit stamps. I love the sets that have a solid image to add color spots on your background. With this set I used 2 colors and gave it a watercolor look without the mess. I then stamped the thank you in black on top.
I tied the sweet berry ribbon around the top layer for an additional pop of color and then added silks again. To get a little bit more texture on the card I scribble with the Journey glaze and added sparkle dust for some shine. I hope you can join us on Tuesday to make these plus a couple other cards at This N That in Chino Hills.

Distress inks class

Today I want to share the cards we will be making tomorrow night at This N That in Chino Hills.  We are going to be watercoloring 3 images from the Crazy Dogs stamp set. All 3 cards are Thank You cards but I will also bring some funny sayings that can be switched out and used on these cards.
Each card we will use our distress ink markers or ink pads to make a color pallet and then use our watercolor brushes to paint each one.
These are such fun stamps to use and can be made into anything you want them to.  For these cards I just used the dogs alone but you could use the accessory stamp set to dress any of these up.
I hope you will be able to join me for this class.  Call the store to sign up.  You will need to bring a basic supply kit (adhesives, pop dots, watercolor brush and optional is your distress inks).  I will have the inks you can use but are welcome to bring your own if you don't want to share.
The class is $25.00 and you can sign up by calling (909) 464-1108 and add your name to the Distress inks class on Tuesday December 13th at 6:00 pm. I hope to see you there.
Happy Stamping

December planner pages

Today I wanted to share my December pages for my planner.  I have really enjoyed decorating my planner this year and it has really helped keep me organized.  For December I went with a snowflake theme and used purple and blues.
As you can see I stamped some purple snowflakes on the background and then cut out a large snowflake using our steel rule die.  I added some candy dots around the snowflake and also some sequins.  I added some spatters of Cool Pool and silver along with some of the wood snowflakes.

How are you decorating your final month of the year.  I hope you having fun with your planners.  Don't forget we still have the planner buffet you can take advantage of to get a new planner for 2017.  Its a fun way to pick the different pieces and parts you want as well as a stamp set to use in your planner next year. You can find out all your options at

November planner

Happy Monday,
I hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving and we're able to spend some time with friends and family. I got a lot of crafting done over the long holiday weekend. I realized I never shared my November planner pages so I wanted to do that now.  I always love fall colors so I had fun mixing my pan pastels for a bright background and then stamped some leaves.

I cut a couple of feathers and took my stamp pads directly to the paper to add the texture to them. I then sponges the edges to help them pop off the page. For my calendar pages I lightly stamped leaves on then to help give the fall feeling to the pages. I hope your enjoying your planners.

Have you started getting your new planners ready?  I have been working on them and can't wait to share. If you are looking for a new planner for 2017 we still have our planner buffet going. You can pic up a new planner inserts and fun stuff to go along with it on my website at  I will share my December pages next

Scrapbook Expo Card Swap

Hi Everyone, I know it's been a while since my last post.  Time got away from me plus going down with a cold that wore me out.  I'm ready to share again and get back to creating. I went to the Ontario stamp and scrapbook expo. 2 days of cropping and shopping with friends is always a great time. This year a few of us decided to do the card swap class. The only requirement we put on ourselves was we had to make the cards there. I decided I wanted to use my FSJ Poinsettia die for my cards.
So the first thing I did was cut out all my flowers and leaves.  We had to make 16 cards for the swap.  I then used my crease tool to curve all the petals and leaves of the flowers.  I then decided I wanted to add a ribbon as well so I prepared those as well.

I glued my flowers together and placed a sparkle drop in the center. I then stapled my ribbons in place so I could make sure they would retain the shape I was looking for.  Next I place my leaves using a foam square to make sure they had the dimension.

Lastly I glued on my Poinsettia and stamped my sentiment  on the bottom right corner of the card. I trimmed the ribbon after everything was in place to finish them off.

Here is the finished card. I really liked how they came out.  In fact I ended up teaching it in my last Fun Stampers Class.
You can find all the items I used to make this card on my fun stampers website.

Halloween banner

Today I'm sharing a fun banner I made using our dies and Halloween stamps. I started by cutting and piercing the pennant die for my base. I then cut out the spiderweb die to layer over my pretty pansy layer. Next I used our steel rule letter does to cut out the word BOO. I stamped over the top with our eyes background stamp. I popped those up on each pennant. For my end pieces I colored in the trick or treat flying monster and the little mummy ATS stamps using our color burst pencils. For the mummy I used a gray pencil and then used the blending stick to make him look a little weathered.
For my little monster I wanted him very vibrant so I used bright greens and blues. I also added some yellow for his wings.  The colors blended very well. I think it also was a good contrast to his pumpkin trick or treat bag.
I then used our press punch to make the holes for my limeade splash ribbon. I added some silver sequin thread to the centers of the pennants for a little sparkle. Now I have a festive Halloween Banner to hang up in my office when we have the little kids come trick or treating from the preschool.
Here is a picture of the entire banner all laid out. We will be making this at the next Fun Stampers Journey class at This N That Scrapbooking in Chino Hill on October 18th at 6:00 pm.  You can call the store to sign up, (909)464-1108.

Halloween Easel

Today I want to share a Halloween easel I decorated while at the LA County Fair.
I started off  by cutting big circle for the moon and layered a few spiderwebs on my deep lilac background. Next I made by tree background using my Winter Hills die.

Next I cut out a couple of bats to add on where needed and then colored a few trick or treaters for my sign.  I added some electric lime, sour lemon and cosmic purple silks to my background. I also brushed the gold pan pastels across the image to give it a little movement.

I finished it off with a few bats on the easel, a small web and the Boo sentiment.  I really love our easels because you can paint them any color you want and then you can switch out your inserts to show your holiday decorations for each celebration. If you come to the fair come by and see me in the DIY Center.

Witches house

Today at the fair I made this witches house. I started with our house die.
I added lemon drop to my vellum to cast the yellow windows. I then used my Winter Hills die, Holiday Window plates, and the bats from Holiday Polaroids and Journey Blooms Holiday set.
Lastly I colored the caldron, cat and witch from the Witches Brew stamp set found in our Holiday Mini catalog. This set is currently only available until the end of September.
These houses are so much fun to make into different themed scenes. I just love them.

Fair time

Today I wanted to share about my first few days working the fair. It opened Friday and I went bright and early so I could see how I did on my entries. I entered 12 cards this year.
It's so much fun to run around and try to find all your entries and see if you won any ribbons. This year I won 10 ribbons out of the 12. It's so great to see all the entries and inspiration.
I'm also getting to demo this year. It's so much fun meeting new people and sharing the Journey with everyone. I get to tell them about the classes I teach at the various stores locally and about hosting Make It parties. It's fun to share your creativity with others. I will share some of the fun items I've been creating while there over the next few weeks.

August planner

I realized today I hadn't shared my August planner pages yet. I still have a few days so I'm posting now. I just love the new stamp set catch a wave. With all the hot days this month I always dream about the beach. Here is my dashboard for the month.
As you can see I stamped my flip flops going up the side to add a little in the background. I then added the surf boards and put in some clouds using my pan pastels. I then fussy cut my car and added that to the bottom. I punched a sun and added the perfect saying, a few embellishments and some silks and we have a finished dashboard.
For my month at a glade I added my music note clips and a couple of candy dots. I had to frame it with my surf boards and added the saying to the bottom that made me think of the Beach Boys.
I added swim trunks and flip flops to my background and some washi tape for fun. Each week has a different saying at the top. It's so much fun having a background to plan on instread of a plain blank calendar page. I hope your having fun with your planners as well as staying very organized.

Animation ATC trade

Today I want to share a trade I made for this weekend.  Our theme was Animation or Yellow, I know it's a little open but that's how we like it with this group.  The first thing I thought of doing was a slider.
To do this I used my cutter to make a slit on my top layer and used 2 pennies on either side of a foam dot.  I then attached my yellow label on top of the penny as my base for the Bird.
Next I have fun with my color splash pencils and water colored in my birds.  I love the rich color you can achieve with these pencils.  I then fussy cut each bird out and layered them on my yellow label.  I then die cut out some grass using our Border Details Die. I cut it to fit my card topper, sponged a little limeade splash ink on it to give it some texture and then added it to my card.  I then needed to trim the blades that crossed over the opening so the card would still slide when assembled.  Finally, I added my sentiment and popped the entire layer on a some Lemon Drop paper.

So as you can see I used both optional themes of yellow and animation.  I really hope they will like my trade.  Let me know if you would like to make one of these.  We can book a party and have some fun.

Hot Hot Hot ATC

Today I want to share the ATC I made for my August Trade.  The theme for this one was Hot Hot Hot so I wanted to have fun with my pan pastels and my Always S'more stamp set.
I started with a dark roast base and then added some Party Pop pan pastels to make the fire glow. I then added some Gold Pan Pastel over the entire piece.  I wanted to soften the glow but still make it look like I had a hot spot.

The next thing I did was emboss the sticks for my marshmallows to hang on in gold. I then stamped my marshmallows on whip cream cardstock and added some brown pan pastel to make them look like they are roasted.
I then fussy cut all my marshmallows out and popped them on the sticks.  They now look like they have been roasted over the flame.
I finished it off with my yummy arrow from my punch and added some gold silks.  I just love how the pan pastels look on dark cardstock. So, what do you think?  Have you tried pan pastels yet?

Birthday Spinner card

Today I want to share a birthday card we made in our class last night.  It's a fun spinner card using the stamp sets Birthday Game Card and Gratitude Wheel.  The great thing about these sets is they coordinate so you can combine them to get all the wedges to fill in the entire spinner wheel. The other fun thing is that we have these great spinners for your cards. They are nice metal spinners that you can easily attach to the card and they will spin freely for lots of fun to who ever receives the card.

I added some sequins on top of the festive pattern paper from the Celebrate You collection.
I finished off the card with some bubble gum thread and a wooden button.  Its fun to do interactive cards every so often.  People love to receive a card that they can play with.  You can find all the items used to make this card in my shop at

Slice of Life

Today I want to share another card we will be making Tuesday August 16th, 2016.  Its a shaker card using the new slice of life collection.

With all these hot days I thought this would be a nice refreshing break.  I love the bright colors of this collection.  One of my favorite items in this collection is the Slice-fetti.
Isn't this the cutest confetti you have ever seen.  I just love it.  I had to make a shaker card with it.  One of my other favorite products is the pan pastels.  I used them to color the lemon I added on the top. Interactive cards are always fun to give.  We will make this card along with the 2 holiday cards I posted the other day.  In the next post you will see the last card for this class.  It is also an interactive card so I hope you will come back in a few days to see the last card I have to share for the class on the 16th.  If you would like to sign up call the store at (909)464-1108.

Christmas Angel and Silent Night

Today I want to share 2 cards we are going to make Tuesday August 16th, 2016 at This n That Scrapbooking in Chino Hills.  I wanted to make sure we got a jump on our Christmas Cards this year.  So many times we wait until its too late to get our cards made so if we make a few each month we will have plenty before you know it.  The first card I made at the Carson Rubber stamp show with Richard.  I really loved it so I wanted to make it for my class.  I changed the colors a little and used the snowflakes from Snow Buddies but it has the same feel as the original.

The second card was inspired by one of my downline.  She posted some pictures of the Angels embossed in gold on the red paper and I loved how they popped.  So using the Oh Holy Bundle I made the next card.  I embossed the angel and the saying in Gold and then layered them on top of some gold shimmer paper and designer vellum.  I then added some ribbon with a twine bow.  I added 3 bells to finish it off.

In the next few days I will share the other 2 cards we will be making in class.  To sign up for this class you can call the store at 909-464-1108.

Sympathy cards

Today I want to share the 3 cards we will be making Tuesday September 13th at our Distress Inks class.  We will be watercoloring roses from the Stampendous stamp Rose Bouquet.
The first card we are stamping the single rose bud stamp.

For the second card we will be using the masks that come with the Stampendous stamps to create a bunch of Roses.  I just love that they come with the masks so you can build your images with the stamps.
We used the masks again for the third card and then added the stem for the single rose.

I know we all don't like to have to use these cards but its always nice to have some handy when you do.  I love these flower stamps for these type of cards.  I hope you will be able to join us to make these cards on Tuesday September 13th, 2016.  You can sign up by calling the store at 909-464-1108
