Valentine Trading coin

Today I want to share a trade project I made.  I signed up for a trading coin swap.  I had never tried this so I was excited to see what I could do.  I started with my gel press and sticker paper.  I used my Sweet Cane, Sweet Pink, Sour Watermelon and Rich Cherry Sugar Cubes.  I wanted the square shaped background so I didn't use a brayer to blend the colors.  I then used my background stamp, Many Hearts to pull ink off the gell press and stamp on to my print.

I then used my Scan and cut to  cut circles in the sticker paper and a circle a 1.4 inch larger in Rich Cherry Sugar Stock to cover the base of my chipboard coin. I then used the digital file Sweet Love to size my bear to fit on the coin.  I then duplicated it on a sheet to make 10 coins. The bears I colored with my copic markers and cut out with my Scan N Cut.  I layered the 2 circles and then added some valentine washi tape I had and some heart confetti to add to my theme.  I then popped my mama and baby bear on the coin.  I finished off the coins with a red sharpie to color the edges of my chipboard.

For my first coin swap I really had fun making them.  It was a challenge to edit plans once you get going on the coin.  You realize real quick that there isn't a lot of space and you have to really pick and choose what you want to include and make it work.  I made sure my strip of washi on the bottom would all show the word love once I added my bear.  I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day.
