February Alcohol marker class at Hearts and Crafts

Today I want to share what we will be coloring on Thursday at Hearts and Crafts in Covina.  The class is a technique class to learn how your markers work and to get comfortable using them. We are coloring more images from the Rainforest collection. Bring what ever brand of alcohol markers you have and we will find colors that work together and color these image.  You will learn how to blend and find colors that work together. The techniques will be the same no matter which brand you have.  Last time people had Copic, Spectrum Noir and Nuvo Pens.  This time we're working with the ladybug, butterfly, gecko, and chameleon.

The great thing is you can color these images any color you want.  I used my reds, black and grey for the ladybug.  I used various pinks for my butterfly but you can use any colors you wish.  I used greens for my gecko and chameleon.  I used a brighter color on the top gecko and a more muted color on the second one. I matched the chameleon with the leaves on the branch but since they change colors you can also have fun with this one.  Make it any color you want. As you can see you have 2 of each image Here are some samples of what I made with the colored images.  I added my newly colored images to cards that I embossed with various embossing folders.

We will have card kits available if you wish to take your finished colored images and make the same cards.  I hope you can join us Thursday February 15th to practice our coloring. The class is $20.00 and you can call Heart N Crafts to sign up at (626) 967-9036.
