Happy Birthday distress oxide inks

Today I want to share some fun cards we will be making with the distress oxide inks on Tuesday. February 13th at Creative Haven.
The first card is using March Florals by Unity stamps.  These stamps are part of the bullet journaling set but as you can see are great for cards also.
Using Distress Oxide inks and a water brush I made a pallet on my craft mat and watercolored in each flower.  Because I used cardstock and not watercolor paper you have to keep the amount of water you use down to avoid destroying the paper.
The second card I used Rebuild your life by Unity Stamps.  I wanted a 2 tone color for the flowers so I started with a base of yellow and then when that layer dried I added some pink at the base of each petal.  I then used green for the stem and leaf.  I then watered down the left over ink and tapped my brush over the image to get the pink and green splatters
The last card I used Poppy Girl by Unity stamps.  This image is a fun image to color with various mediums.  I love this fun image and coloring it was just as fun.
I gave her a denim hat to match her jeans.  I added a pink band to match the patches on the jeans and then colored her shirt a light minty green.  I added glaze to the centers of the flowers, her shoes and the band on her hat to give them a little texture.  I love coloring on kraft color papers instead of always using white.  I hope you can join us for the class on Tuesday.  It's going to be fun and you will have some birthday cards for your stash.  Anyone would love to get one of these for their birthday.
